StreamICan was founded in 2022 by Dani Okafor, a former music-industry data analyst, and Theo Marsh, an independent musician who'd spent years distributing his own records. Dani had built dashboards for labels her whole career, the same Momentum-style scoring, playlist tracking, and audience breakdowns that A&R teams use to decide who to sign. Theo had never once seen data like that pointed at his own music.
They started StreamICan to close that gap: real distribution, paired with the same intelligence layer labels pay for, built for the artist instead of about them. Growing by referral was a deliberate choice, not a limitation, it keeps the community, and the data, honest.
